Save the Date Inspiration

Now that we have officially set the date, I’ve started the process of picking out our save the date cards and invitations. Since our wedding will be at a farm with rustic decor, I want our save the dates to match the theme of our ceremony and reception as they will be the first impression of our special day. I envision something simple, elegant and country chic. Minted and Wedding Paper Divas have some adorable postcards (pictured below) that fit with the look we are going for. Even though we have more than a year until we say “I do,” I’m so excited to start planning!

Country Charm

20140118-134237.jpgMaybe it was our trip to Wyoming or Rob’s hunting gear lying around the house, but I am loving the country style when it comes to home decor. I must not be the only one because I found some great items and Target, Home Goods and Hobby Lobby. The wall decor above is from Home Goods and is the first piece of art that Rob and I have both liked. It’s masculine with the deer, but girly with the floral border and rustic details. 20140118-134247.jpgTarget never disappoints. I found these antler candle sticks on sale for only $7! I paired them with the gold, metallic candles to add some glitz and glam.  20140118-134312.jpgI also love burlap accents and the rustic feel it gives to the room. This vase is from Hobby Lobby. You can’t beat their 50% off deals!20140118-134322.jpgThe white table was my latest DIY project. It used to just be boring, brown wood, but I painted it white and distressed it with sand paper to fit the vintage look I was going for.20140118-134337.jpg

A Day at the Park

I love Downtown Las Vegas because it’s a great escape from the Strip and the cool, laid-back vibe reminds me a little bit of Seattle. I wanted to share some pictures of the quirky, whimsical decor at Park on Fremont since it’s so unique, but I could also see the eclectic style trending on Pinterest. The vintage-yet-modern look is so popular right now and makes me want to go spray paint my boring, brown furniture! Plus they serve delicious drinks, like the Pillow Talk and Trophy Wife, in Mason jars… LOVE!
