Fourth of July Fashion

Whether you’re spending the 4th of July at a barbecue, parade or firework show, this outfit shows off your style and patriotic spirit! It’s not hard to find an American flag graphic tee or tank because they are right on trend this season. A cross body bag with fringe adds a laid-back vibe to your look.Cowboy boots and cut-off shorts and some country style, which is definitely appropriate for this holiday. Fun fact: July 4th is also National Country Music Day! Yes, I will be celebrating, just as I do everyday. There’s no better way to kick off the summer than with friends, family, country music, good food and hopefully some sun!

DIY Fourth of July Centerpiece

Nothing says summer like the 4th of July and red, white and blue! My favorite way to kick off the season is by hosting a barbecue with friends and family. This patriotic candle holder would look great displayed on a buffet or out on the patio after sunset. Best of all, it only cost $3 to make! I got the pail from the $1 section of target. The candle and white beans are both from the dollar store. All you need to do is put a small layer of beans in the pail, place the candle in the middle, then pour more beans around it. Sand or coffee beans would also be cute!

More 4th of July ideas to come! :)

Live {LAUGH} Love

Happy International Moment of Laughter Day! After learning about National Siblings Day last week I decided to research what other fun, unique holidays exist. There are  so many out there that do not get the attention they deserve, such as National Chocolate Chip Day, National Country Music Day and National Dog Day. I will definitely be celebrating those!  In honor of today’s holiday I’ve decided to share five of my favorite blogs. With everything from puppies to failed Pinterest projects, they always make me laugh! Feel free to share and spread the laughter!

Happy National Siblings Day!

Happy National Siblings Day to my amazing sister, Molly! I could not have asked for a funnier, crazier little sister. From this goofy little girl to a grown-up, gorgeous bride, I am so lucky to have her as my best friend! As different as we are, I still love her so much!

Easter Fashion

happy easter

Time to hide the eggs and bake hot cross buns because Easter is almost here! Whether you are going to church or brunch, here are some styles for your Sunday festivities. When Easter fashion comes to mind I imagine pastels, florals and conservative, girly looks. A feminine, flowy skirt with a beautiful blouse is a good place to start. Top it off with some pastel accessories, such as a bag or bracelets. Another option is to wear the spring dress that you have been longing to wear, but saving for warmer weather. Even if it’s still chilly where you live, add a cardigan or colorful blazer. You can look like spring even if it doesn’t feel like it with florals, pastels and other spring styles!

Country Love

Hope y’all had a happy Valentine’s Day! My friends and I spent ours gettin’ our country on and two-stepping at the Tractor Tavern in Ballard. It’s always a good time when country music is involved! We saw Aces Up perform. I had never heard of them, but they were really good! Also, they are from Seattle! Who would have thought a country band would come from the city famous for grunge and alternative rock?! Apparently country is country-wide, Brantley Gilbert! The bar had really cute decorations, such as cowboy boots hanging from the ceiling. Here are some pictures from our night!
